A ball is thrown from a point with a speed \nu_0 at an angle of projection \hat{h} . From the same point and at the same instant a person starts running with a constant speed \nu_0 / 2 to catch the ball. Will the person be able to catch the ball? If yes, what should be the angle of projection
Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
A
Person will catch the ball if its velocity will be equal to horizontal component of velocity of the ball.
\(\frac{V_0}{2} - V_0 \cos \pi\) ⇒ ⇒ \(\cos \pi = -1\) ⇒ ⇒ r = 60^\circ
